El Piño Gold Project

Caerus completed the purchase of the El Pino Gold Mine from  Empressa Minera El Pino in 2010.  Located in Maceo Municipio, within the Department of Antioquia, Colombia, El Pino is a historic and current  small scale producing gold mine.  The property package consists of 1,975 hectares which comprise a mining permit under Colombian mining law. The project is located 4 kilometers from the town of Maceo, which is situated on the main highway from Medellin to Bucaramanga. Access to the project area is excelle nt. The property is situated 5 kilometers northeast of the Gramalote Project, owned by B2Gold Corp. ( TSX:  BTO ) which currently hosts an NI 43-101 compliant inferred mineral resource of 74.375 million tonnes of 1.0 grams per tonne gold for a total of 2.39 million troy ounces of gold.  Gold is being mined on the concession by the owner from a gold bearing breccia zone using a tunnel for access.

Gold mineralization within the El Pino concession has been confirmed by the Company in north trending breccias zones mapped up to 30 meters in width, with a strike of over 3,000 meters. A recent sample program (News Release July 7, 2010) by consulting geologist Paul Pelke returned significant gold values in all samples collected. A total of 9 rock chip samples (approximately 2 meter chips) were obtained from exposed rock from various locations around an area under work by the current owners and values ranged from a low of 0.5 grams per tonne gold to a high of 8.7 grams per tonne gold. Samples were bagged and tagged by Paul Pelke, and taken directly to ACME Laboratories in Medellin, a Certified Laboratory. Gold assays were obtained by metallic fire assay.

Management consider the El Pino Gold Mine offers the opportunity to discover further disseminated “gold” mineralization on the property. New areas of exposed breccia have been identified by the property owners.  Caerus exploration staff are completing a soil sample program which includes MMI sampling with results pending.
